Last night (May 17), Coldplay stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and performed two songs – “Hymn For The Weekend” and “Up & Up” – off their latest album A Head Full Of Dreams.

With the stage decked out in technicolor lighting, the UK rockers gave joyous performances of both songs. Frontman Chris Martin kept the energy going throughout the first track, jumping around the stage as kaleidoscopic designs flashed behind him. But for “Up & UP,” which came only as a web exclusive, Martin played it cool. He sat at the piano and belted the number’s wistful lyrics over Jonny Buckland‘s soaring guitar solo.
