Sia's 'This Is Acting': Album Review
We break down the Australian singer's "reject"-filled LP, 'This Is Acting.'

Sia contributes a new song called “Waving Goodbye” to The Neon Demon soundtrack. Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, the horror film stars Elle Fanning as an aspiring model who falls victim to a group of youth-obsessed women. It all sounds a little bleak, but the Australian singer/songwriter’s track is anything but. In fact, it follows the 40-year-old’s tried-and-tested formula — i.e. an emotional mid-tempo ballad with a triumphant chorus. Listen to a LQ rip below.

In other news, the Adelaide hitmaker is taking This Is Acting on the road. Sia’s Nostalgic For The Present Tour kicks off in Seattle on September 29 and then crisscrosses North America, before winding up in Austin, Texas on November 6. (See all the dates here). The “Chandelier” chanteuse is currently enjoying a massive international hit with “Cheap Thrills,” which has gone top 10 in Australia, France, Germany and the UK.
