It’s shaping up to be a big year for Bea Miller. The 17-year-old, who is currently opening for Selena Gomez on her Revival Tour, releases the lead single from her sophomore album on Friday (May 20). She shared a preview of “Yes Girl” on Instagram and it sounds like another fiery anthem that showcases the rising star’s gravelly vocals. “I tell you what you want to hear,” she sings over eerie piano. “Cause the truth is always in the way.”

The teenager then fires up in the pre-chorus, declaring: “I never want to live in fear, I don’t want to hold back all the things I need to say.” It’s only a brief snippet, but it sounds promising. Bea first came to fame as a contestant on X Factor, before signing with Disney in 2014. She impressed with punchy pop anthems “Young Blood” and “Fire N Gold,” before landing a top 10 hit with debut album Not An Apology. Preview her new single below.
