Whitney Houston Hologram To Tour In 2016
Whitney Houston is returning to the stage — via hologram. Find out more.

It’s not right and it’s not okay. Footage of the Whitney Houston hologram duetting with Christina Aguilera on next week’s episode of The Voice surfaced online this afternoon and Twitter was not impressed. “No seriously, WHO IS THIS?” demanded one fan. “I know this Keri Hilson ass hologram ain’t post to be Whitney Houston?” tweeted another. The general consensus appears to be that the computer animation looks nothing like the pop superstar.

As for the performance itself, faux Whitney and Christina belted out “I Have Nothing” and “I’m Every Woman.” The idea of the big-lunged divas trading vocal blows is tantalizing in theory, but this was utterly cringeworthy on every level. To make matters worse, the hologram will kick off a tour later this year according to the late singer’s estate. “It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come,” Pat Houston declared. Nope.
