Beyonce's 'Lemonade': Album Review
We dissect Bey's powerful 6th LP 'Lemonade.' Read our track-by-track review.

“Hold Up” is the dark horse of Beyonce’s mega-selling Lemonade opus. The Diplo/Ezra Koenig-produced anthem was overlooked as the album’s second single in favor of “Sorry,” but the reggae-tinged bop been a consistent seller on iTunes (it’s still hanging around the top 40) and is shaping up to be a radio smash in the UK. It’s about to gain another burst of momentum thanks to a ridiculous/amazing cover by Muppets icon Kermit The Frog.

“Today I’m going to sing a song by the great Beyonce,” Kermit introduces the mind-bending rendition. “It’s called ‘Hold Up,’ it’s from her new album called Lemonade.” He then explains the choice with this heartfelt anecdote: “It really resonates with me because you guys know Miss Piggy cheated on me, so I had to leave her alone. Kind of like what Beyonce’s husband Jay Z did to her.” What is life? Watch the cover above.
