Miley Cyrus Might Be Working On New Music With Stepfather
St. Louis rock duo Stepfather claim to be working with Miley Cyrus on new music. “We wrote a song together that we are going to be releasing as stepfather in the next couple of weeks as well as music for her upcoming project,” they revealed in a DM (see a screengrab below), which immediately circulated on fan sites. The band appears to confirm the news in an Instagram post, captioning a picture of the pop star with: “Been off the grid with Miley and Jesse working on new tunes!”
It could all just be a hoax in the name of promotion — anything’s possibly after Yacht’s fake sextape — but it seems legit. If so, don’t expect Miley to return to the carefree urban-pop of Bangerz anytime soon. In fact, that incarnation of the 23-year-old seems as dead as Hannah Montana given the experimental nature of free LP Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz and the prospect of a collaboration with these lo-fi rockers. See the evidence below.
