T.I. Addresses Irving Plaza Shooting On Instagram
On Wednesday night (May 25), four people were shot during T.I.‘s headlining concert at New York City’s Irving Plaza. Three people were severely wounded and one was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. Following the night’s tragic events, the Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to offer his condolences.
“My heart is heavy today. Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others,” he wrote. “My heartfelt condolences to the family that suffered the loss & my prayers are with all those injured. Respectfully, Tip.”
According to New York Daily News, Troy Ave (who reportedly had beef with fellow Brooklyn rapper Maino) has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Video footage sees the shooter storm into the green room above the stage and open fire.
