Selena Gomez Appears In ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ Skit: Watch
Leave it to Selena Gomez to know how to handle a crisis.
On May 26, she appeared in a parody talk show sketch on Inside Amy Schumer. Amy Schumer herself was the host, a “down to earth” celebrity who can’t remember the name of the maid she spies on in hopes of catching her stealing. Selena played herself, though as bandleader of Selena and the Schume-Tomes, who has to deal with Amy calling her “Ms. Rosetta Stone” as a compliment. (“I was born in Texas,” Selena deadpans.) So naturally, when the blimp on which the talk show takes place takes a nose dive, which Amy compares to Titanic, the Revival star herself knows exactly what to do.
In real life, Selena has made her love for Amy quite clear. Last fall, she replaced Jennifer Lawrence to present Amy an award at the Hollywood Film Awards. And instead of listing trivia she learned from Amy’s IMDB page, Selena talked of how the showrunner inspires her. “Amy, you’ve inspired me not take myself too seriously when I sit on my couch and I’m depressed about certain things,” she said. “You constantly made me feel I’m a badass even though most of the time I’m not. You say the things I wish I could say and you never ever make feel bad about anything I do in my personal life.”
