Ever watch the 1985 teen classic The Breakfast Club and wonder: What if princess Claire (played by Molly Ringwald) actually has the hots for the iconic recluse Allison (Ally Sheedy)?

Well, British songstress Shura is here to propel those fantasies forward in her latest video for synth-pop anthem “What’s It Gonna Be?” Starring her twin brother Nick, the duo feature as alternative romantic leads in the John Hughes-inspired visual.

“[The song] is about having a massive crush on someone, so it made sense to go back where to school, where it all began,” the singer revealed in the video’s YouTube caption. “But it was important for us to explore those archetypal characters – The Jock, The Nerd, The Dork, The Popular Kid – and then flip expectations.”

She continued, “‘What’s It Gonna Be?’ is based on my personal experience as a kid; thinking you’re in love but then realizing that’s maybe just because you feel you should be (and ending up with someone totally unexpected).”

Watch the video below, and make sure to check out her debut album Nothing’s Real (out July 8).
