Get ready, New York!

The Roots Picnic – the band’s annual festival held in their native Philadelphia – is coming to Manhattan’s Bryant Park on October 1 and 2. And they’re bringing a slew of fantastic acts with them. The first night alone includes D’Angelo, John Mayer, and London rapstress Lady Leshurr, while the second is billed as a “Love Letter To New York,” boasting artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Nile Rogers and David Byrne in the evening and up-and-comers such as Bibi Bourelly and Yuna throughout the day.

“New York is a second home to us,” Roots drummer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson said in an interview with Billboard. “There’s going to be pop up shops there, really good curated food, comedy, DJ parties there and acts that you wouldn’t expect… We’re deeply involved in everything, from the grass area to the food you’re gonna eat to the music you’re gonna hear in between. We’re a part of all of that.”

Both limited early bird 2-day passes and single day tickets go on sale Friday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
