Lady Gaga’s fifth LP might not arrive until 2017 — at least according to BFF/unofficial publicist Elton John. “I’ve heard two or three songs from her new record, which she’s making with Mark Ronson, and it’s absolutely brilliant, so you’re gonna be really happy when you hear that later in the year or early next year,” the superstar revealed in his Rocket Hour podcast on Beats 1. That fits in with rumors that Mother Monster’s second jazz album will arrive before LG5.

Stan Twitter was buzzing last week with talk that Gaga and Tony Bennett’s Cheek To Cheek sequel would drop in August to coincide with the legendary crooner’s 90th birthday. There’s still room for a fourth quarter release, but the 30-year-old still appears to be hard at work on the opus — recently hitting the studio with Mark Ronson, BloodPop and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker. Does she risk getting lost in the Christmas rush or reward Little Monsters with two albums? Your move, Stefani.
