After creating sunny indie-pop as one half of LA-based duo Golden Coast and lending his voice to club collaborations with Tiesto and Fedde Le Grand, Denny White makes his solo debut with “Sweetness” — an intricately-crafted future-pop song that manages to be both intimate and anthemic. “There’s a sweetness to your love and you know I need it, a sweetness to your love tell me can I keep it,” the LA-based singer implores on the chorus, before a quirky mini-drop takes the song in an unexpected direction.

What inspired Denny’s atmospheric track? “I’ve always gravitated towards music that moves me,” he tells Idolator. “I knew within seconds of writing over the vibey drum line samples that ‘Sweetness’ was a song I couldn’t wait to play live and move to. Hopefully the feeling’s mutual with folks listening or it’s gonna get awkward fast live!” The newly solo singer has nothing to worry about. Listen below.
