BANKS' 'Goddess': Album Review
We review BANKS' debut LP, 'Goddess.' Read on to see if it lives up to the hype.

Here’s some encouraging info for music-starved BANKS fans. The alt-pop/dark-R&B singer (pick your description) has finished work on her much-anticipated second album. She broke the news on Instagram by captioning a studio pic with this simple message: “ITS FUCKING DONE.” There’s no word on the release date or even the arrival of the lead single, but the fact that it’s in the can hints at a third or fourth quarter release.

The 27-year-old made huge waves in 2013 with major label debut EP London and rode a wave of grassroots support to become a festival favorite and Artist To Watch. BANKS followed that up with debut LP Goddess in 2014, which debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and more than lived up to the hype artistically. The album produced AAA hits “Beggin For Thread” and “Waiting Game.” See her Instagram post below.
