Usher's new single and Nick Jonas' new album is just the tip of the iceberg, pop fans.

At the last minute, Zayn Malik pulled out of his June 11 performance at Capital Summertime Ball. The reason why isn’t commonly heard among other musical artists. In a statement, the One Direction member gone solo said that he suffered an anxiety attack.

“Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me,” Zayn said. “[W]ith the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career. I cannot apologize enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me, I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today.”

Zayn released his solo debut Mind of Mine in March, though he has yet to announce a proper tour to promote it. Instead, he has done one-off shows here and there. The last time he performed live was at 102.7 KIISFM’s Wango Tango in May. Next, he will perform October 7 at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena.
