Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Kesha & More React To Orlando Nightclub Shooting
On June 11, 50 people were shot dead at gay Orlando nightclub Pulse. Not only is this incident the worst mass shooting in US history, but its death toll is the biggest in the United States since 9/11. “What is clear is this was a person filled with hatred,” President Barack Obama said in a news conference.
Yet the more that police reported on the incident, which occurred one year after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage throughout the United States, the more some prominent pop artists tried to make sense what happened. Among those weighing in were Cher, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Tegan and Sara and John Legend , those who identify as allies — if not as part of — the LGBT community.
See their reactions below.
My thoughts and prayers are w my brothers and sisters who were at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub. RIP to those who lost their lives.
