Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry Performs With Death Cab For A Cutie At South Carolina Show: Watch
Yesterday (June 15), Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry joined Death Cab For A Cutie in singing Plans ballad “Brothers on a Hotel Bed” during their joint show in Charleston, South Carolina. Amid purple lights, Mayberry’s poignant coos made for a truly ethereal performance.
But the night wasn’t all fun and games. Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard had a bit of a meltdown on stage while singing “Soul Meets Body.” According to Pitchfork, the singer put his guitar down, pushed the mic and stormed off into the wings. The band eventually came back out to finish the show.
