Taylor Swift Pens Tribute To Orlando Nightclub Shooting Victims

Christina Aguilera's new single is the latest pop event to be dragged under the Idolator microscope.

Taylor Swift is the latest celebrity to mourn the lives lost in Orlando on June 12.

In a note posted to social media, she handwrote the names of all 49 victims from the mass shooting at LGBT nightclub Pulse — people in their 20s and 30s who came for Latin Night that Saturday, and during Pride Month of all times. Taylor reached out to the families of victims in particular. “As you bury your loved ones this week,” she says, “please know that there are millions of us sending you love and our deepest sympathy in the face of this unthinkable and devastating tragedy.”

Along with statements posted to social media, Taylor’s peers have made impassioned speeches (Lady Gaga, Adele, Nick Jonas, Lin-Manuel Miranda) and heartfelt tribute songs (Christina Aguilera‘s “Change“) in honor of the victims. See the 1989 star’s show of support below.
