The Drop: Bonnie McKee, MAGIC! & Lemaitre
Your cheat sheet for New Music Friday featuring Bonnie McKee, MAGIC! & Lemaitre.

When Bonnie McKee teased the visual for “I Want It All” yesterday (June 20), I assumed it was for the recently-released Vicetone remix. And I was completely wrong. The songwriter behind mega-hits “Roar” and “Teenage Dream” opts for the rock-centric original, which is fine by me. As much as I love the club overhaul, this is the version I’ve had on repeat for the best part of a year. And the video? Well, it’s a wild ride down memory lane.

Bonnie indulges in her love for all things ’80s, from the outfits to the box format and dance battle. It doesn’t feel like an affectation with her and the loving detail reflects a deep passion for the decade that gave birth to the music video. Hopefully, this recent burst of activity is a sign that the hitmaker is working on new music. We’re due for something new. In the meantime watch her killer clip up top.
