Au Revoir, Adele! Lindsay Lohan Threatens To Release Another Album
Adele, Beyonce and Taylor Swift might as well throw in the towel because ’00s pop queen/Razzie-winning actress Lindsay Lohan is planning to release another LP! “I have to record another album for Universal/Motown,” the ginger songbird declared in a Mean Girls-themed live chat. “And I will.” Unfortunately, there’s a catch. Before Lilo returns to save pop with album number three, she wants to give her sister, Ali Lohan, a chance to shine.
“With that being said, my sister is signed to EMI,” the “Rumors” hitmaker said. “She’s recording a record, and out of respect for her and her true career choice — which is all she wants to do is make music, and her voice is like… Etta James meets Adele; I want to respect her in that lane and stay in my lane working with children and creating films and writing and directing.”
While Twitter is having a field day with Lindsay comparing her sister to Etta James (they obviously haven’t heard Ali’s still-flawless debut single “All The Way Around”), this is great news. The 29-year-old first tried to release the album in 2008 and dropped a killer lead single with “Bossy.” Other tracks from the unreleased opus leaked and they were all really, really good. Lilo’s filmography is a little dubious of late, but her music has always been on point. I’m ready for more!
