Ready Or Not: Bridgit Mendler To Relaunch
Bridgit Mendler is gearing up to relaunch with a bold, new sound. Find out more.

Bridgit Mendler’s comeback could be a lot closer than we thought. The 23-year-old, who landed a platinum-selling smash with “Ready Or Not” in 2012, hinted at new music in April. “All I ever wanted was to make music I could be proud of,” the Lemonade Mouth star tweeted. “Thankyouthankyouthankyou it’s here.” The pop star has kept a fairly low profile since then, but some details are starting to emerge. Namely, she reportedly told fans that her new single is called “Atlantis” at a listening party in the UK and promised to release an EP later this summer.

While the “Hurricane” diva is yet to share any of her new material online, expect a major change of pace. Bridgit has been in the studio with hitmakers Julia Michaels, Jesse Shatkin and Jason Evigan, and is rumored to exploring a more credible sound. That’s supported by the music she’s been listening to lately — having shared tracks by UK producer Mura Masa and Australian singer/songwriter Matt Corby on Twitter and Instagram.
