Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar Mesmerize With “Freedom” Performance At The BET Awards: Watch

Now, that’s how you open an awards show.

Last night (June 26), Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar kicked off the 2016 BET Awards with a stunning performance of their joint Lemonade track “Freedom.”

The performance began with an excerpt of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, as Queen B emerged in a pool of water and proceeded to do intricate choreography with a posse of dancers. And as if that wasn’t enough, Kendrick came out to do his scorcher of a verse and stomped in the water with Bey. It was joyous, mesmerizing and endlessly inspiring.
