Robyn Joins Metronomy On “Hang Me Out To Dry”: Listen
In advance of their forthcoming album Summer 08 (out July 1), Metronomy has teamed up with Robyn on the new slinky number “Hang Me Out To Dry.” The track premiered today via Zane Lowe‘s Beats 1 radio show.
From the start, the song is minimal yet playful, as the Swedish songstress sings the track’s infectious chorus (“Hang me out to dry, take me for a ride/ Do whatever you feel, like you’re behind the wheel.”) over synth-laden, bouncy beats.
“She’s just got this incredible singular voice in pop music. You hear it now everywhere,” said the band’s Joe Mount. “I love her voice, and to have it on my music just feels good.”
