New Find: Billie Eilish's "Six Feet Under"
14-year-old Billie Eilish mesmerizes with gloomily beautiful single "Six Feet Under."

Kosovo Albanian pop diva Era Istrefi has a global hit on her hands with “BonBon.” Recorded in her native tongue, the irresistible earworm wreaked havoc on the charts in Europe and the Middle East earlier this year. The 21-year-old now has her sights set on the US, recording an English version for cautious radio programmers. I’ve played the original so many times that it felt disloyal to entertain a different cut, but the song survives the language switch largely intact.

Sounding like the best Rihanna song not on ANTI, “BonBon” is shaping up to be a legitimate Song Of The Summer contender. “BonBon I know what you want want, BonBon bet you wanna taste it,” Era purrs in the chorus. It’s a suitably sexy affair from a talent being pegged as one of the year’s break-out stars by tastemakers. Find out what all the fuss is about below. And if you like what you hear, dive into her other hits on Spotify (notably “Shume Pis” and “Njo Si Ti”).
