Carly Rae Jepsen's 'E·MO·TION': Review
Find out what we had to say about Carly Rae Jepsen's third album 'E•MO•TION.'

Carly Rae Jepsen is working on new music with Swedish hitmakers Patrick Berger (Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”) and Noonie Bao (her own “Run Away With Me”). The 30-year-old shared a studio pic on Instagram with the caption: “Writing songs and eating apples in Stockholm.” She didn’t clarify if the tracks are intended for her new album, but it seems likely. After all, “I Really Like You” diva has already started work on the opus and has spoken about the disco direction.

“I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be,” Carly told the Vancouver Sun. “But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff.” Stockholm sounds like the perfect place to explore those sounds — a task the singer clearly relishes. “It’s fun to dig into oldies and see what you can celebrate about it… to take your favorite pieces of something and add some new stuff to create something different.” See the pic below.
