Jennifer Lopez And Lin-Manuel Miranda Release “Love Make The World Go Round”: Listen
On Monday (July 4), Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda took to social media to tease “Love Make The World Go Round,” a track that pays tribute to the victims of the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting. Now, the song is here, and it’s as inspiring as ever.
Sampling Miranda’s moving 2016 TONY Awards Speech, the track remains propulsive and hopeful in light of this terrible tragedy. Lopez croons uplifting lyrics like ”Those who hate us and fear us, can not keep us down/ Cause we hear in our heartbeat a beautiful sound,” while Miranda provides soaring bars towards the song’s end.
The track is available exclusively via iTunes. The song’s proceeds will go to the Hispanic Federation’s Proyecto Somos Orlando, a charity that provides support for the shooting victims and their families.
