The Pretty Reckless Announce New Single “Take Me Down”

The Pretty Reckless will release a new single called “Take Me Down” later this week. Lead singer Taylor Momsen announced the news via her social media accounts today (July 12), sharing the devilish cover with the message: “The first single from the new album will premiere this week! More details for you tomorrow… spread the word.” It’s good to see the band hasn’t lost their edge when it comes to provocative artwork — hopefully an indication that their sound has mellowed out either.

Taylor & Co. first made a splash in 2010 at the height of their frontwoman’s Gossip Girl fame. The Pretty Reckless came out swinging with still-brilliant single “Make Me Wanna Die” and followed it up with successful debut LP Light Me Up. They achieved even more success with sophomore effort, Going To Hell, which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 in 2014. Revisit the highlight of that album, “Heaven Knows,” below.
