AlunaGeorge – composed of Aluna Francis and George Reid – are not to be messed with on their latest fiery single “Mean What I Mean,” which premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World on Tuesday (July 12).

The track is a feminist anthem of the highest order, as Francis sings about standing her ground and fending off unwanted advances. “I mean what I mean when I say so/ Not tryna be mean when I say no/So don’t play a fool and twist my rules/ I mean what I mean when I say so,” she snarls over the propulsive house-tinged beat. The duo also enlist up-and-coming MCs Dreezy and Leikeli47 for a few powerful vocal assists.

Listen below, and keep an eye out for their forthcoming album I Remember (out September 16).
