Craving new Jessie J? (Someone must be). Well, the Brit comes through on the Ice Age: Collision Course soundtrack. She contributes a twee disco anthem called “My Superstar,” which finds the 28-year-old doing the absolute most in the vocal booth — as usual. “You are my rainbow, you color my days so bright,” she howls before reaching the kiddie-friendly chorus: “I want to stay forever with my superstar, my superstar.” It’s cute enough, but unlikely to challenge “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” as the year’s biggest soundtrack hit.

“My Superstar” is Ms. J’s first single since Pitch Perfect 2 ballad “Flashlight,” which peaked at number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015. She is apparently working on a new album after taking some time off for The Voice. “It’s really time-consuming, and if I’m honest with you, I get to the point where I’m in the chair, and I just want to sing,” the “Bang Bang” diva said in a recent interview. “I’m ready to write another album.” Listen to her latest below.
