The nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards were announced earlier this week, led by Beyoncé  and Adele. And this morning, M.I.A. took to Twitter to call out the VMAs for excluding her “Borders” video (which she directed), calling it “Racism sexism classism elitism” and “a perfect example of ‘allowed’ voice vs excluded voices.”

These comments echo what Nicki Minaj said after the nominees were announced last year. For what it’s worth, Taylor Swift‘s name doesn’t appear in this year’s list, either.

M.I.A.’s new (and possibly final) album A.I.M. drops September 9.
