That Poppy’s Cute & Colorful “Money” Video: Premiere

That Poppy first appeared on our radar last year with breezy ska-pop anthem “Lowlife,” which sounded like a cross between turn-of-the-millennium No Doubt and Marina & The Diamonds. It turns out the track isn’t particularly reflective of the doe-eyed diva’s debut EP, Bubblebath. Take new single “Money” — a clever electro-pop song about the finer things in life. “Give me all of that (all of that) until ATM runs out,” she sings on the chorus. “If money can’t buy happiness then why is it so fabulous?”

“The song was inspired by a musical,” That Poppy explains. “Money makes people happy, and that is why I am singing about it. You can buy anything with money.” You can’t argue with that logic. As for the pastel-colored, emoji-filled video? “My favorite part… is wearing all of these wonderful dresses.” We’re excited to premiere the whimsical visual below.
