Your cheat sheet for New Music Friday featuring Fitz And The Tantrums & Laleh.

Fitz and the Tantrums have a Song Of The Summer contender on their hands with “HandClap” — a catchy, hook-filled anthem produced by Ricky Reed (Twenty One Pilots’ “Ride” and Phantogram’s “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”). The lead single from the band’s self-titled third LP went top five on Spotify’s US Viral Chart and has been racking up the spins on alternative radio. The next step towards chart domination? A remix from dance maestro Dave Aude.

The producer stays true to the song’s alt-pop trappings. He simply ramps up the tempo and artfully rearranges things to make it more club-friendly. It’s shaping up to be a huge year for Dave. He won a Grammy for his remix of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and co-produced Selena Gomez’s recent top 40 hit “Kill Em With Kindness.” We’re excited to premiere his expert overhaul of “HandClap” below.
