No one is quite sure what to expect from Spice Girls 3.0, but at least one artist is celebrating the iconic pop group’s ’90s past. Nashville synth-pop enthusiast CAPPA has gone and recorded a fairly delightful cover of “Wannabe,” the single that was released 20 years ago this summer and eventually catapulted Ginger, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Posh to worldwide fame.

CAPPA gives the pop classic an anything-goes 2016 makeover while still keeping the joy of the original’s melody — and that middle-eight rap — intact.
