And Here’s Adam Lambert As Eddie In The ‘Rocky Horror’ Remake
Feast your eyes on Adam Lambert as Eddie in the upcoming remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (above and below). The 34-year-old tackles the role originally played by Meat Loaf, but his look owes more to Elvis Presley than the Bat Out Of Hell rocker. Well, at least hair-wise. (I don’t remember The King ever wearing a studded dog collar). Regardless, it’s a look and will, no doubt, ramp up excitement for the camp extravaganza, which screens on Fox on October 20.
Interestingly, the “Ghost Town” hitmaker was originally asked to play Dr. Frank-N-Furter, but he turned the role down. “I kind of felt like in 2016, to be cis and playing the role of a trans character, it felt inappropriate to me,” Adam told us in March. “In the ’70s, it was different. But nowadays we have such an amazing conversation that’s started about trans and gender in this world. I think casting Laverne [Cox] was so brilliant. It’s so appropriate, you know what I mean?” See him in character below.
