DJ Khaled Bumps Drake Off Top Of Album Chart With ‘Major Key’

Drake‘s Billboard 200 chart reign with Views is again interrupted, this time by the #1 debut of DJ Khaled‘s Major Key. It’s the latter’s ninth studio album overall, and his sixth to chart in the Top 10. That said, Major Key, which sold 59,000 copies out of the gate and racked up 95,000 equivalent album units, is Khaled’s first chart-topper.

The Toronto rapper and Miami DJ are, of course, pals, and currently have a Top 20 collaboration on the Hot 100 with “For Free.” And speaking of singles and Drake’s stellar year so far, his own track, “One Dance,” was bumped off the top of the Hot 100 two weeks ago by Sia and Sean Paul‘s “Cheap Thrills.”

It’s a wacky and wild world, kids.
