Charli XCX first made her breakthrough as a songwriter, famously penning Icona Pop‘s smash “I Love It,” and eventually scoring a credit on Selena Gomez‘s 2015 hit “Same Old Love.” While she’s been focusing on album three and her Vroom Vroom imprint in recent months, she returned to songwriting for “I, U, Us,” a new single from 18-year-old Londoner RAYE. But she didn’t stop at co-writing the track: Charli also helmed its music video for her directorial debut.

The verses have an unmistakable XCX sound, with gurgly funhouse sonics floating beneath conversational, chirped lyrics. The visual is a casual after-school skate takeover.

RAYE’s Second EP is out today on Polydor. Watch below, via The Fader.
