Here’s something you might not know. Snoop Dogg’s latest album, Coolaid, is a response to Beyonce’s Lemonade. “I was listening to a particular record, Lemonade. I’m being honest with you… that motherfucker was banging,” the legendary rapper told Elliott Wilson in a recent interview (via Billboard). “It left me kind of feeling crazy because it was like somebody gotta say something to look out for my nephews and to represent the men.” Not that he’s coming from a place of disrespect or anger.

“I wasn’t even trying to answer her but I was just trying to put some flavor in the game,” he continued. “You know, she had Lemonade. I wanted to open up a Coolaid stand.” Apart from dueling with Queen Bey, the 44-year-old has signed up for a new TV show with Martha Stewart. Tentatively titled Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, the show features the odd couple “teaming up each week to host a dinner party with celebrity guests.” Check out the lead single from Snoop’s album below.
