Azealia Claims Lady Gaga Stole "Red Flame"
The beef continues! Azealia Banks claims Lady Gaga stole her "Red Flame" demo.

Azealia Banks and the curse of the scrapped collaboration (Disclosure, Kanye West, Rihanna etc.) is a post unto itself, but her most notorious shelved feature has to be Lady Gaga’s “Red Flame.” The track was supposed to be the Harlem rapper’s big break — given Mother Monster’s pre-ARTPOP popularity — but it was left off the album and sparked a feud that’s still ongoing. Well, the song finally found its way online over the weekend and, unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the three-year wait.

It turns out that “Red Flame” is an ode to sexy shoes. “Patent leather, six inch, high heel, ostrich, platform, Mary Jane, 37 red flame,” Gaga coos at the beginning of the track. Azealia then drops a fashion-themed verse: “Six inch lizard skin, alligator the purse.” There’s even a corny refrain (“I wanna see you pump it”) and awkward sing-along at the end. As far as ARTPOP-era hip-hop experiments go, I’m sticking with “Jewels N’ Drugs.” Take a listen below.
