Dev made a comeback earlier this year with a sultry slow jam called “Lowkey.” It was a change of pace for the Queen of club bangers, but she returns to more familiar territory on new single “#1.” A collaboration with Bay Area rapper Nef The Pharaoh, the 27-year-old’s new track commands you to move. “Last summer I was ridin’ in your hummer, baby isn’t it a bummer that it’s over,” she coos over slinky synths. “Crazy. I used to call you baby, but now you hate me.”

That takes us to the catchy chorus: “I used to be your #1 fan but forget it.” This is easily Dev’s most (rhythmic) radio-friendly single since Sage The Gemini-assisted banger “Kiss It” and has significant crossover potential. If you haven’t listened to the “Like A G6” singer since debut LP The Night The Sun Came Up, it’s time to get reacquainted with her music. She’s come a very long way. Listen to “#1” below.
