THANKS Rework Jill Scott’s “Golden” Into “Livin’ My Life”: Listen To The Funky Jam
With Alphabeat on somewhat of a hiatus, the Danish pop group’s male vocalist, Anders SG, and guitarist, Anders B, have formed duo THANKS as an outlet for their combined creativity. You may have caught their experimental, collaborative single “Dizzy” when it arrived in the spring. They’ve now followed that dancey track up with “Livin’ My Life.”
If the singer on the latter sounds familiar, it’s because those pipes belong to none other than Grammy winner Jill Scott. Anders and Anders have taken the soul diva’s 2004 single “Golden,” chopped up the vocals and given the whole thing a funky, synth-infused overhaul.
Et voila — we now have “Livin’ My Life.” Given the bouncy tune a listen above.
