Here’s Dolly Parton Being Flawless & Iconic On ‘The Today Show’
Dolly Parton’s 43rd studio LP, Pure & Simple, arrived last week and the country legend is in full promo mode between tour stops. The 70-year-old dropped by The Today Show this morning (August 24) and happily chatted about topics as diverse as plastic surgery and radio support — all while looking utterly flawless in a pink and powder blue ensemble, complete with rhinestones and gold detail. What were the highlights? A joke about being caught post-surgery and a quip about peeing before shows.
On a more serious note, the hitmaker made a thinly-veiled jab at country radio for not playing her new music and spoke about her huge international following. (Dolly thinks this is partly due to her movie roles). The top-heavy diva then belted out her new single, “Pure And Simple,” and put on a master class in less-is-more performance.
