Tkay Maidza Teams Up With Killer Mike On “Carry On”: Listen
In addition to announcing that her debut album TKAY will be out this October, Tkay Maidza has released her new track “Carry On” with Killer Mike.
The song is a bombastic kiss-off anthem, as the Australian MC fends off haters over bouncy, propulsive beats. “They say they’re coming for ya but I don’t want none/ Cause I really don’t care and I’m still kinda young,” Maidza croons, her voice reminiscent of MIA or Charli XCX. Killer Mike then proceeds to come in and serve up some brotherly advice when he tells the rapstress “Make sure you stunt hard and you shine on them suckas.”
TKAY will release on October 28 via Downtown / Interscope Records.
