Sorry, That Drake-Rihanna Countdown Clock Is Fake
This afternoon, a couple days after Drake presented Rihanna with the Video Vanguard Award at this year’s VMAs, the website drakeandrihanna.com went live with a countdown clock. It looked like the collaborators, colleagues, friends and sometime maybe-kissers were up to something, and Twitter went wild with theories about what would happen on September 8 at 9 p.m. ET when the clock hit all zeroes. The “Too Good” video, perhaps?
But it’s fake. Genius confirmed with someone from Drake’s camp that the website is not affiliated with them, and Pitchfork spoke to a Rih rep saying she’s not associated with it.

For what it’s worth, OVO also posted this tweet before the clock site went live.
