Look, Stranger Things is causing all kinds of commotion with the cultural commentators. Homage or ripoff? Fresh or derivative? But one thing that everyone can agree on is that the kids at the center of the show were wonderful. Their performances were magnetic and their monster-battling characters were the best thing about the Netflix hit. There is no debating this.
Naturally, Jimmy Fallon had to get in on all the meme-able Stranger Things action, so he had them on his show to play some dumb game, as is tradition. But all you need to know is that it led to Millie Bobby Brown, who played Eleven, busting out Nicki Minaj‘s “Monster” verse. So meta.
