MIYNT Shares Shimmery New Single “You Were Never Too Much”: Listen
In anticipation of her debut EP (out September 16), Swedish singer-songwriter MIYNT has released a shimmery new single “You Were Never Too Much.”
Produced by Daniel Nigro (who’s worked with artists like Sky Ferreira and Carly Rae Jepsen), this song is the ultimate cathartic breakup track. MIYNT’s signature icy vocals warble over the song’s synth-laden melody. In fact, it might be her most pop-leaning song to date and perhaps also her most heartbreaking.
“It [the song] came out of a complicated love situation I experienced a couple of years ago,” the singer told Interview Magazine, who premiered the number. “It was very confusing and frustrating. But it turned into some songs, like a lot of things do after a while.”
