Lady Gaga Announces ‘Joanne’ Album & Release Date: See The Covert Art

Lady Gaga‘s new album is called Joanne and it’s out October 21. It’s named after her late aunt, and it’s also her middle name (and it provides some excellent cross-promotion for her dad’s Italian restaurant of the same name). Gaga announced the album details on Beats 1 during an interview with Zane Lowe minutes ago.

Here’s what we know so far: There’s a song called “Sinner’s Prayer” that features Father John Misty, “John Wayne” features Josh Homme on guitar (and we now know Homme is responsible for that guitar crunch on “Perfect Illusion”). There’s a Bollywood-influenced song and a country-leaning song with input from Hillary Lindsey (who penned “Jesus Take the Wheel”). Florence Welch and Beck also contributed to the album.

She also said the “Perfect Illusion” video is coming “very soon.” The album cover will be revealed later today, at which point we’ll update this post. Hear the interview below.
