Justin Timberlake And Anna Kendrick Team Up On “True Colors” For ‘Trolls’ Soundtrack: Listen

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick have released a poignant cover of Cyndi Lauper classic “True Colors.” The song will be featured on the soundtrack for the forthcoming movie Trolls (out November 4).

As expected, the rendition is as ho-hum as ever with the duo crooning the song’s uplifting lyrics over a slow guitar-laden melody. You can’t help but imagine that this will play during a super twee part in the film where a sad troll is lamenting over life’s very hard questions. But it’s okay! Because, in the end, the trolls probably realizes that he or she just need to be themselves, yadda yadda yadda and all that other fuzzy stuff.

The soundtrack – which Timberlake is executive producing – will be out on September 23 via Villa 40/RCA Records.
