Lady Gaga Sends “Big Prayers” To New York Explosion Victims
As police continue to search for answers, Lady Gaga sends well wishes to those affected by an explosion in New York neighborhood Chelsea. “In NY safe &sound,” the pop superstar says on Twitter. “saying big prayers for my friends in Chelsea. Everyone be safe. We New Yorkers always stick together.”

The explosion went off last night (September 17), injuring 29 people total with one person seriously hurt, according to authorities. Police believe the cause was a homemade bomb made out of a pressure cooker. So far, there aren’t any suspects, or a known motive, reports The New York Times.
Lady Gaga grew up in the Upper West Side of New York, working as a waitress while attending school. She was among only a few celebrities who’ve commented on the explosion, including Laverne Cox and Questlove.
