Pop Perspective: Tinashe's "Company" Reviewed
We rate and review Tinashe's new single "Company" in the latest Pop Perspective.

Yes, it’s true: Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud wrote a song for Tinashe‘s Joyride. “I am really excited that Tinashe just took one of my songs,” she told BANG Showbiz, as if she is a newcomer to the scene. “I love her and I love her last album [Aquarius] so I will be happy when I can hear my song on her album and that will be a nice moment.”

Just to be clear, Nicola is a music veteran. After forming on reality competition show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, Girls Aloud scored 21 consecutive top 10 singles, including four No. 1 hits. After going on hiatus in 2008, during which Nicola released her critically acclaimed solo debut Cinderella’s Eyes, Girls Aloud disbanded in 2013. Nicola has since written for Little Mix and Cheryl, formerly of Girls Aloud herself.

Tinashe’s Joyride doesn’t have a release date, though according to BANG Showbiz, the album should be out this fall.
