Britney Spears Is Working With Julia Michaels
Britney Spears hit the studio with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter for 'Glory.'

Julia Michaels is one of the hottest songwriters on the planet with credits on Selena Gomez’s Revival, Britney Spears’ Glory and Gwen Stefani’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like (among many other hit albums). She’s also an aspiring pop star and recently got a taste of the spotlight by joining Kygo on stage at the closing ceremony of the Rio Olympics. They performed their summery collaboration “Carry Me” — a highlight of the Norwegian producer’s sophomore LP, Cloud Nine.

The track gets a belated video today (October 5) and it finds Kygo broing out with friends on vacation. The DJ parties on yacht, indulges in a little jet-skiing and tries out one of those water jet-packs. There’s also footage from a festival and poolside shenanigans. “Carry Me” is the third single from Cloud Nine after Matty Noyes-voiced international hit “Stay” and “Raging,” an unexpected collaboration with Irish rockers Kodaline. Given pop radio’s current obsession with calming mid-tempo EDM, this could be the song that clicks stateside.
