Adam Levine bares his butt in Maroon 5's confronting "This Summer" video.

It takes a village to raise a child and make a pop song. Take Maroon 5’s new single “Don’t Wanna Know,” which features Kendrick Lamar and arrived on iTunes tonight (October 11). The track was co-written by the band, K. Dot, Jacob Kasher, John Ryan and Ammar Malik, while production was handled by Benny Blanco, The Arcade and Louie Lastic. That’s a hell of a lot of collaborators, but there’s nothing bloated or excessive about the finished product. In fact, this is a case of less is more.

“Don’t Wanna Know” couldn’t be more simple. It just freshens up Maroon 5’s sound and goes HAM on the repetition (the cornerstone of hitmarking circa 2016) — all but guarantees the band a smash hit in the process. “I don’t wanna know, know, know, know, who’s taking you home, home, home, home,” Adam Levine sings on the criminally catchy chorus. “I’m loving you so, so, so, so, the way I used to love you.” Kendrick’s verse feels like an afterthought, but apart from that, this is hard to fault. Take a listen below.
